And best of all boost your mood.
Pilates is a safe and fantastic way to build strength and keep active through your pregnancy. However due to the rapid changes occurring to the body during pregnancy some precautions and modifications are needed. To avoid excessive strain on the abdominals that may contribute to abdominal separation core exercises such as planks, sit ups and crunches need to be avoided. Other modifications may also be required for those experiencing any lower back, pelvic or wrist pain which are all common in pregnancy.
Clinical Pilates with an experienced Physiotherapist will help ensure you keep active safely during your pregnancy. Clinical Pilates can also help reduce and manage any aches or pains as well as safely strengthen your core and pelvic floor.
At BP&H we have physiotherapists with post-grad qualifications in all things women’s health, and our very own clinical pilates studio, fully equipped!! So get your pregnancy journey started with us. We will look after you and your baby!
